Hey, that's a pretty good pc for the price. Mine's a Dual E5200 @ 2.5ghz, I added 4gb of ram, not bad for a crappy 4-5 bills, no way in hell I'd ever spend 3k on a pc again, let alone 5k I paid in 1999

wolburg i know you want to buy it locally, but check out BuyXG.com, i have priced systems like what Lac was saying for around 4-6 hundred dollars without a monitor, and if you want a monitor its only like 200 more.

wolburg, take into account that a very verý good system won't be in practice any better than a system that costs 40-50% of the price, sure the diff can be seen but not w/o softwares made for that, you will see no diff using them for gaming

fair enough, the 3d card might be a bit weak, but if you don't want to build it yourself it is fair enough and you can always buy a new 3d card if you feel like that one doesn't have enough power...

There's also the mega special III, but I wonder if they have windows 7? Also, with the gaming rigs, is it possible to turn off those fancy lights? OR do they turn off if the system goes into hybernation?

The mega III doesn't have any software in the basic package. I think that the 2200 is the best deal I can afford. I may try to get the zero financing.

i would say it's a rip off, usefull but you don't really need it... as long as you take care of the dust inside the box

Well I ordered the 2200 yesterday, bought a 20 inch dell monitor ($100) a set of altec 2.1 speakers $14 and a few games. The comp has a couple of $20 rebates too. I save $35 or so on tax, but hav eto pay $65 for shipping. Still cheaper than the big box stores. Now I have to save my data to a portable hard drive. Oh joy!

Yeah we had 20-30 man krayt runs at one point, with pets so it looked like a little army, we had 2 big tents with entertainers set up as well. we got massacred but what fun it was.

Its only multiplayer that is open, and only had time to play 3 matches so far, but looks nice, and got the old star craft feeling with it. Some new units and stuff, and you can hide those terran storage buildings in the ground so you can move units over them. Some other new stuff is some ground elements you can blast away, cant remember that from the first game
