So with the news that Pirates of the burning sea is postponed, we find ourselves having a year open without any planned games other then Conan wich is also scheduled for next year. Should we keep going as now ? or shift focus short term or long term after this revelation.

voted the 1st chose, but i rather find something nice where to stay even after potbs is out. Tired of waiting and waiting but only eventual game coming out this year, and worth playing is lotr.
But i'll play conan when it comes out, that's for sure, but that would be in 6month maybe more sad.gif

In existing games, is there any we could play in "big" # while we wait for something worth it?

I agree the guild needs a home for its health untill PotBS comes out. SO I voted #1. I thing a bit of #2 wouldnt hurt.

I know we all are upset (ok some of us) about the later date then we expected. Buts being done for us not for them. If they where like all the others they would rush to market then add avatar. But instead they want to give the comunity a game thats complete and polished. That will cost them time and money, as odd as it sounds Flying labs (PotBS) are putting quality first and in this day thats very rare. I know I will play when the time comes.

Finding a game right now is not easy. As much as I hate to say it SWG might be the best choise and I was dead against it. It would be a game we already know well at least to some extent. Most of us would already have established characters and accounts, and shouldnt be to hard to reactivate the city even. Just my thoughts.

Any way you look at it I miss the company of friends as I am sure you all do also

I'm for swg, if and only if we get enough people to come back, atm i play it but only in space, but if we get enough people it might be ok for the time conan comes out then we can also join potbs.Could be cool to have Pax active in 2 games at the same time, once you need a break from one, play more the other and so on.

i need a game to play with pax so i voted 1 i have internet now so i think i am good to go for whatever.... even though i just got my books for Field Artillery school and the box weighs literrarly about 45 lbs.....

I voted #1.

If looking for a new game to try then Lotro is the only game out there for this year (unless it to gets posponed). I know a few of us are interested in this but i also get the impression some people are not.

As for playing SWG again. I was dead set against playing it again, until I found i had nothing much to do one wednesday when WOW was down due to an update. They have made some nice improvements and are continuing to improve it. It will never be like pre CU but its playable again at least. starwars.gif

As with most everyone else, I voted #1

I'd love to play a game with pax again, but there just aren't that many good choices out there. Just throwing out a few ideas however... EVE online is pretty non-linear like SWG was and you fly around in space all the time or there's even Auto Assault... just a couple ideas.

On the idea of going back to SWG, I would do it but enjoying it is another thing completely.

Damn butterbars have it easy. The HE rounds for a 198 weigh 90 pounds! I have seen one knock down a short guy on the ground when unloading it from a 5-ton! laugh1.gif

This is the exact same thing I thought when first reading down the posts. One thing it will have going for it is the time it's been since I've last played it.

Although it will probably have that "been there, done this" type of feeling fairly quickly.

If someone finds something fun to play, I'm for it.

How are things going for you on that? Still in Ohio somewhere?

At least hockey season and football (real kind, where people are pummeled) start soon.

ha yeah some of those rounds are massive as hell, I have so much respect for those 13 series guys (Field Artillery Enlisted for those not in the US Military). So much to learn right now though, about being a FDO and a FSO and a PL and learning all the jobs of everyone who works around you. Its cool to learn and know that much stuff but it sure is a lot of reading, about 30+ books worth! I have PT 0530-0630 and then class from 0800-1700 with an hour break for lunch. Sitting in a chair all day long watching power point sucks but it is very interesting stuff... takes at least an hour studying a night but i sure as hell dont want to show up to my PLT (1AD, Baumholder Germany) looking all ate up so I make sure I learn as much as I can now.

And Carter I miss Buffalo sports so damn much. I definatly will not be able to see any Bills or Sabres games around here (unless I shoot for hockey down to dallas for a game or over to phoenix) but there is always internet radio. I have a patriots/bruins fan Lieutenant around here who I will have to contend with throughout both seasons, so that should be fun.
